All You need to know about procell microchanneling

WHAT IS THE PROCELL MICROCHANNELING TREATMENT?

Procell Therapy is the most effective and minimally invasive skin rejuvenating procedure to date. It helps improve the appearance of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and other skin issues and keep skin looking and feeling younger. This unique therapy was developed in the United States by a Licensed Aesthetician and a Board Certified Dermatologist.

Microchanneling stimulates your body’s natural ability to generate new healthy skin rather than utilizing destructive and inflammatory techniques like many treatments in the aesthetic industry.

This results in a more enjoyable treatment, virtually non-existent downtime, and happier skin. Microchanneling can also improve the overall health of your skin by stimulating the rejuvenation cascade for new collagen production.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MICROCHANNELING AND MICRONEEDLING?

Procell Microchanneling therapy is the next generation of Microneedling. The main differences between the two therapies is the type of device used to perform the treatment, the technique that is used as well as growth factor serums that are applied immediately after. Microneedling therapy involves using a handheld “roller” covered in tiny needles that is dragged over the skin which can actually tear the skin. Procell Microchanneling therapy, on the other hand, uses a “stamping” technique, which creates micro vertical channels into the skin for better and deeper product penetration & less trauma to the skin.

HOW DOES PROCELL MICROCHANNELING WORKS?

A single Procell therapy treatment creates hundreds of thousands of microchannels. In response to each micro-injury, an inflammatory healing process begins which initiates the formation of new collagen. Over time, the repeated healing process improves the surface texture and the overall appearance of the skin.

We start life with a large number of bone marrow stem cells, bone marrow stem cells. But as we age, we lose most of them. By age 50, only 2% remain.

WHY DOES THE SKIN AGE?

You age, visibly and invisibly, every day. Sun damage, internal inflammation, chemicals, and even gravity all work against the youthful vitality of your skin. As we get older, our ability to repair this constant damage diminishes dramatically.
Since fewer regenerative stem cells survive to carry on the work, slower, less robust healing and greater levels of inflammation are inevitable, resulting in skin issues that become more and more pronounced as you age.

Human growth factors applied to the skin following the procedure mimic the effect of having more youthful stem cells. Procell serums contain growth factors derived from human bone marrow, which produce a potent anti inflammatory effect. This effectively reduces healing time and can improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation and scar tissue deposition. These growth factors support cellular renewal and have strong regenerating properties to improve skin firmness, elasticity, texture and tone.

THE BENEFITS OF PROCELL THERAPY

  • The Procell Microchanneling therapy helps reduce or even eliminate scars from the skin

  • With this unique therapy you can say goodbye to your fine lines and wrinkles

  • Firms, tightens and tones

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR PROCELL MICROCHANNELING TREATMENT?

Procell Therapy can be used on any skin type. However, you are not a good candidate if any of these conditions apply:

  • A condition that seriously impairs the immune system (such as cancer patients that are undergoing chemotherapy)

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Diabetes (due to problems with healing), hemophilia, bleeding disorders

  • Infection of any type (bacterial, viral or fungal)

HOW LONG DO THE EFFECTS LAST AND HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NECESSARY?

Procell therapy benefits can last anywhere from 2 to 10 years, depending on your age and lifestyle. For light anti-aging treatments, 1 to 2 treatments may be sufficient, for deeper wrinkles & scarring, you may require 4 to 6 treatments to achieve the desired results. An interval of 3 to 4 weeks between treatments is typically recommended and you can see the results 2-3 weeks after your treatment.

WHAT’S THE AFTERCARE LIKE?

  • Avoid washing your face for the first 6 hours. You can wash the treated area gently with a gentle cleanser and apply moisturizer thereafter.

  • After the therapy, nothing topical should be applied for at least 90 minutes.

Anti aging tips for every age

Anti aging tips for every age

Aging is inevitable — But we don’t have to dread it. We all want to look and feel beautiful, and there’s a way to age gracefully while enjoying life’s lessons. There is so much information out there that it may become overwhelming and confusing on which steps, tips, treatments, and products to use. But there are small yet essential ways to improve your health and beauty both inside and out through every decade. So here are some tips to beautifully get you through each era to get you looking and feeling great with that radiant glow.

In Your 20’s:

Signs of aging usually begin to creep up during our late twenties, but there are healthy ways to prevent them. This is usually a time where we don’t have to worry too much about our diet and skincare regimen, but it’s important to start early. Here are some tips for when you’re in your 20’s:

Wear Sunscreen, always!

This doesn’t matter where you live or what type of skin you have, you should always protect your skin with sunscreen. It’s responsible for most of our environmental skin damage and one of the biggest contributors to premature aging. So put your sunscreen next to your bathroom sink and make it a daily ritual.

Sleep, sleep, and more sleep!

It’s so important to get your “beauty” rest to prevent dark, puffy, circles under the eyes and feel energized throughout the day. If you’re getting six or fewer hours a sleep a night then your body produces more of the stress hormone cortisol, which contributes to your collagen breakdown. It’s also the time for your skin to rejuvenate and build back all of it’s lost resources from the day. It’s a time for repair and for your body to rest. If you’re getting plenty of sleep and still waking up with tired eyes, try putting your eye cream in the fridge and putting it on before applying your sunscreen. The cold will give your eyes an extra boost to wake up and start the day.

Take Vitamin C

This vitamin is essential to start taking internally as well as applying externally to the face. Vitamin C is found at the outer layer of our skin as well as inner layer and helps keep skin healthy by producing collagen, which in turn helps reduce sun damaged skin. It’s also important to take regularly as it’s a strong antioxidant that helps strengthen your body’s immune system and protects your body from free radicals. Add this to your daily routine at a supplement and a serumand your skin and your body will thank you.

Drink Lots of Water!

We know it’s not always the drink of choice, sometimes it’s other fruit juices, teas, or alcohol, but drinking plenty of water on the daily is so important for our overall health. It helps with digestion, circulation, and absorption. All of our skin cells and body cells are made up of water and without it we would not be able to function. Not only does it help us from the inside, but the more water we drink the more moisture we maintain, and this includes your skin. The more elastic your skin becomes from all the hydration, the fewer wrinkles we see!

Cleanse and Moisturize!

This includes taking off your makeup!  Along with drinking water and taking your vitamins, it’s essential to cleanse the face to rid all the extra dirt and makeup–don’t ever sleep with it on! It can really clog up the pores and keep oil trapped within the skin, which leads up to bacteria and breakouts. Add a daily cleansertoner, and moisturizer to your daily routine to keep your healthy glow into your 30’s!

In Your 30s & 40’s:

We know in your 30’s and 40’s we see some major changes and therefore can add additional ways to continue our glow. These are decades when the signs of aging become a bit more obvious because of the skin and body’s ability to repair itself is starting to decrease. So persevere through all the 20’s tips, but add these additional items to your list as your dive into your 30’s and 40’s.

Exfoliate

We know that exfoliating seems like a luxury, but at this age, it’s time to make it into a practice. Our skin cell turnover is slowing down and dead skin cells are accumulating on the surface. When skin cells are not turned over, we often see a loss of a glow. We can start to rid these dead skin cells by exfoliating to not only ensure the glow, but help products absorb deeper on the top layer of the skin. Start slowly by doing it once a week and work your way up to a few times as your skin tolerates it.

Add a Night Cream

Don’t stop with adding a daily moisturizer in your 20’s because as we creep into our 30’s our skin tends to dry up. Our skin naturally becomes drier, so to keep your skin looking young, plump, and healthy it ‘s best to stay hydrated by using a daily moisturizer with a daily night cream, especially in the cooler months. As we mentioned earlier that getting sleep is key time for rejuvenation, adding a night cream with powerful ingredients is just another way to give your skin a healthy boost.

Add Hyaluronic Acid

This ingredient is a glycosaminoglycan that occurs naturally in the skin. It’s a humectant, meaning that it helps the skin hold water. It’s known to improve skin’s hydration and help plump up the skin, which makes those lines on the face look smoother, especially around the eyes. We often have tired, crinkly looking skin due to dehydration and HA is an ingredient to help boost it.  In turn, your skin will start looking smoother and dewier, and who doesn’t want that?

Use a Retinol Product

This vitamin A compound is important in helping with collagen production and cell turnover, which evens out those wrinkles. This is the first thing to do in stepping up your anti-aging game. Start off with a low dose to first see how your skin reacts, and always use sunscreen as retinoids increase your photosensitivity. Once you start using a retinol cream or serum, you’ll start to reap the benefits of your smooth, glowing skin!

In Your 50’s & Beyond:

These are the decades of sagging skin, so it’s important to continue the recommendations above and then some. Many of you at this age are reaching Menopause, which causes a heavy decline in collagen production and in turn our skin becomes dryer. So let’s bump up some of our routines and add these additional serums to our daily regimens.

Eye Cream

If your haven’t already incorporated an eye cream, which you can throughout any decade, it’s a time to really manage those dark circles and crow’s feet around the eyes. The lines start to look creepy thanks to all the collagen loss during this time. Try choosing products that have collagen boosters like peptides or glycolic acid. This will really help put an additional glow to your face when our eyes don’t look as tired because of the additional hydration and pump.

Treat Hormonal Acne

A lot of times we start to see acne return at this age because of the big hormonal changes. If you’re seeing your skin flare up when you would normally have a cycle, then this could be due to Menopause. Beauty comes from within, so when we start to see our hormones go crazy, look into changing your diet. A lot of times cutting out sugar or dairy helps, but it’s best to speak with your doctor about what’s best for you. There are also topical treatments like anti-inflammatories that may help or hormonal treatments. Whatever works for you, talk to a specialist to help you keep it under control so you don’t get scarring on your glowing face.

Hydrating Sunscreen

As mentioned before, our skin is starting to sag at this age due to a loss of hydration, but it’s becoming thinner and dryer. It’s not only important to keep up with the sunscreen at every age, but boosting your hydration will help. A face cream or hydrating sunscreen can really help protect the skin’s barrier with their emollient and humectant properties. The thicker the cream, the better, so adding a heavier cream to your regimen is the way to go.

So regardless of your age, you can certainly create a look where you’re glowing and gorgeous. There are some adjustments to be made as you make your way through each decade because as we age our skin and body need different things, but we recommend using these tips to keep your skin youthful and keep yourself healthy throughout your life.
